CERAMICA RAKU è un’interessante ed unica esposizione di orologi artistici da noi realizati secondo l’antica tecnica RAKU. Ogni oggetto estratto dal forno viene posto ancora incandescente in recipienti metallici pieni di combustibile di vario tipo (segatura, paglia, foglie secche, etc.) e subito coperto al fine di ottenere una forte riduzione dovuta alla sottrazione di ossigeno. Questo processo trasformando gli ossidi in metalli crea lustri e riflessi sulle nostre creazioni.

What is RAKU Ceramics

CERAMICA RAKU is an interesting and unique exhibit of artistic clocks. These are all hand-made according to the ancient RAKU technique. Each item is taken out of the oven while red-hot and quickly placed in a metallic pot filled with combustible material (saw dust, hay, dry leaves, etc). Once the pot is covered, flames deprive items of oxygen allowing oxides to turn into metals. This is what makes our products shimmer with marvelous metallic effects.
